The detox diet is divided based on how many times you should
eat in a day.
Early morning
Upon rising, the first thing you should drink is a ginger
lemon detox drink. Ginger is a powerful detoxifier and it helps kick-start your
metabolism. It also hydrates your body and stimulates the bowel movement.
Therefore, drinking it as the first thing in the morning is a win-win
situation. To make the ginger lemon drink, add some lemon juice to a glass of
water and squeeze the ginger juice into the water. Mix it well and enjoy this
drink at room temperature.
Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and eating a
healthy breakfast will keep you energetic throughout the day! Try out the super
detox green juice to alkalizing your blood in order to keep bad bacteria and
cravings at bay. Juice celery stalks, 1 small cucumber, fresh parsley, kale
leaves and 1 apple. Sip it slowly for a healthy kickstart of the day!
Mid Morning Snack
By eating a mid-morning snack, you will have the energy to
keep going. Moreover, your mid-morning snack will keep you on the right track. Wash
and dice vegetables into small strips and keep them in the fridge to cool them.
Have this salad whenever you feel hungry or have the urge to eat something
unhealthy.
Lunch
Eating a healthy lunch will keep your sugar in control while
helping you stay fit. Along with vegetables, you can choose to eat salad as it
is rich in nutrients. A mix of sea vegetable and sprouts is high in calcium and
iodine thus helps you draw toxic out of your body. However, do not pick up salads
that have tons of dressing on it as it will only add to your weight. Instead of
cream dressing, choose a fresh lemon or extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Afternoon snack
You can choose to eat activated almonds as your mid-afternoon
snack as it will keep you full for a long time. A handful of soaked nuts will
form a part of your afternoon snack.
Take raw almonds and soak the in water at room temperature along with 1
teaspoon of unrefined sea salt. Leave it overnight and strain it in the
morning. If you are not able to finish the nuts in a day, store them in a
covered container in the fridge.
Dinner
While on a detox diet, choose to eat a light dinner. You can
opt for a vegetable tonic that helps in restoring alkaline-acid and
potassium-sodium balance in the body. To make potassium balance soup, put
filtered water, finely chopped zucchini, finely chopped celery stalks, 1 cup
green beans chopped, finely chopped tomatoes, and 1 large bunch of parsley
finely chopped in a large pot. After bringing the solution to a boil, simmer
the gas for about 30 minutes. Serve warm. You can even choose to blend the
mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy.
After dinner
Finish out your detox diet with a cup of calming chamomile
tea. This will help calm your body so that you enjoy a restful sleep. Take a
cup of boiling filtered water and pour it in a cup. Add the tea bag and let it
steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
